Sweep Auger Operating Caution

1. Before operating the sweep auger, the worker should have the Limited Space Homework License;

2. When the sweep auger is working, the scrapper, electric valves and ventilator should be locked.

3. Open the man hole to keep natural draft, and open the axial fan to ventilate.

4. When connected with other equipment of the production line, start the equipment on the back part, and then restart equipment on front part;

When parking, the order is opposite;

5. Check and ensure the oxygen content is qualified, then the worker is permitted into the manhole; unscrewing the working support stem to keep it hang in the air; forbidding operating in front of the screw conveyor;

6. In the process of sweep silo wall, once finding any fault, the worker should stop operating immediately and do maintenance;

7. In the process of sweeping, to avoid the danger of dust explosion and mechanical damage, the user should following warming:

a. All electrical design, manufacture and use must achieve explosion-proof requirement, such as lighting, ventilation systems;

b. Taking any flame into silo is forbidden in the process of sweeping;

c. Forbidding sweeping in front of conveyer;

8. When finishing the sweeping, please close the auger, at the same time, close walk and open inversion to make sweeping auger reverse back to the starting position, then round down the support stem to play the support role;
